One of the most cost-effective and immediate ways to fix a flat roof with damaged felt is to over-coat with HPX polymer. The material should be applied in two coats: a base coat to provde key and then a top coat to build thickness. HPX can be safely used to bond to existing felt, concrete and rubber surfaces.

Where an existing roof is in such a poor state that repair is not possible there are two widely used options. Two-ply or Three-ply torch on felt, or EPDM rubber. Torch on felt replaces the old pour-on bitumen method. A base layer of permeable felt is applied followed by one or two top layers, the final layer being mineral felt.
